Terms of Service

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and authorized to bind the organization on whose behalf you use the Service.

2. Service Description

BuildSignal.ai provides AI-powered permit-data insights for residential construction opportunities. You may receive features such as alerts, data enrichment, and access controls. All service levels, lead volumes, exclusivity details, and pricing are defined in the welcome email and in the Stripe product description associated with your subscription. Those email/Stripe details control over these generic Terms in case of any conflict.

We strive to deliver the agreed-upon number of leads each week; however, lead availability depends on the data published by public agencies. If filings are sparse or delayed, we may be unable to meet the target lead volume in a given period. In such cases, we will notify you promptly and do our best to make up the shortfall when new data becomes available.

3. Accounts & Billing

Account Information: You agree to provide accurate, current information when registering or subscribing.

Billing:

• Your base subscription fee and any performance-based components (for example, a revenue share) are set out in the Stripe product description you used to subscribe, along with any accompanying email.
• Subscriptions renew automatically each month unless canceled as described in Section 8.
• If you close any deals that trigger a revenue-share fee, we will invoice you separately in arrears (per the frequency and calculation method described in your email/Stripe description).

4. Client-Specific Terms

All client-specific provisions (such as base fee, percentage of revenue, delivery schedule, or exclusivity) appear only in the welcome email you received and in your Stripe subscription details. Those details override these generic Terms to the extent of any discrepancy.

5. Intellectual Property

All content, software, logos, and trademarks provided by BuildSignal.ai remain our sole property. You may not reproduce, modify, or distribute them without our express permission.

6. Confidentiality

Each party agrees to keep the other's non-public information confidential and to use it solely to perform under these Terms and the email/Stripe details.

7. Data Privacy

Our collection and use of personal data are governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you consent to that policy.

8. Termination

Either party may terminate service by giving notice (via email) at least one day before the next billing date. Upon termination, your access will end and any unpaid fees (base subscription or revenue-share) remain due.

9. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability

Warranty Disclaimer: The Service is provided "as-is." We disclaim all warranties, express or implied.

Liability Cap: Our total liability under these Terms will not exceed the fees you paid us in the 12 months preceding any claim.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms; we'll post changes here with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
